Track Loaders are very similar to Skip Loaders where they have a front mounted square wide bucket connected to the end by two booms and is used to scoop up loose material from the ground. The only difference from a Track Loader and a Skip Loader is that Track Loaders have a tracked chassis. Types of materials scooped by the Skip Loader include, dirt, sand and gravel. It picks up the material with its bucket and transports it to another location where the material is dumped out, usually in a dump truck.
Many Track Loaders have removable attachments which allow you to replace the bucket with other different size buckets, or other devices or tools. Track Loaders are used for uploading materials into trucks, laying pipe, clearing debris, and digging. Track Loaders are very versatile where they can perform many jobs, but they usually don't specialize in any of those jobs. For each type of job, there usually is another type of equipment that can do a better job, but the fact that Track Loaders can perform many different types of jobs keeps them in demand.
