Scag Power Equipment started in 1983 in Mayville, Wisconsin with one gear-drive ride-on mower. The zero-turn Saber Tooth Tiger is equipped with a 31-hp turbo-charges diesel engine and either a 61- and 72-inch cutter deck. This high performer reaches speeds of up to 10.5 mph. The Turf Tiger, another industry leader, is available with a 52 inch, 61 inch or 72 inch cutter deck and offers a choice between air-cooled, liquid-cooled and fuel-injected engines. Turf Tigers equipped with 29hp and higher engines can reach up to 12 mph, making quick work of large properties.
The Wildcat or Tiger Cub models are more compact. Both are powerhouses in small packages with large cutter decks and superior durability.
Scag’s walk-behind models include the comfortable and convenient SWZU, a hydraulic-drive zero-turn model. A floating, easily adjustable cutter deck, adjustable tracking system and spring-loaded belt system make this mower a dream to operate. Cutter deck sizes for the SWZU range from 36-52 inches. For maximum maneuverability and high productivity, try the SWZ model. Powerful hydraulic drive systems make these mowers a breeze to use for uphill mowing and to back onto a trailer.
For smaller jobs, the SW is a belt-drive mower with a cutter deck up to 52” and a 5-speed Peerless transmission that can handle ground speeds of up to 6 mph.
