Hyster Company is a manufacturing company specializing in forklifts and other materials handling equipment. Hyster was founded in 1929 as the Willamette-Ersted Company in Portland, Oregon, and changed its name to Hyster Company in 1934. The company was purchased in 1989 by NACCO Industries, Inc. and became a part of NACCO Materials Handling Group which continues to market products under the Hyster brand name today.
Some of NAACO's subsidiaries include, Yale, Hamilton Beach, Kitchen Collection, and The North American Coal Corporation.
Hyster manufacturers pallet trucks, stackers, order pickers, narrow aisle VNA trucks, counterbalanced forklifts, and they manufacturer their products with different wheel/tire and energy types to cater to a full spectrum of indoor and outdoor operating environments.
