Chevrolet, also known as Chevy is a division of GMC. Chevrolet was founded by Louis Chevrolet and William C. Durant who was the head of Buick. By 1916, Chevrolet was profitable enough to allow Durant to buy a majority of shares in GM. After the deal was completed in 1917, Durant was president of General Motors, and Chevrolet was merged into GMC, becoming a separate division.
Chevrolet produces light duty vehicles as well as medium duty vehicles for the commercial market. Some of their light duty vehicles include the Colorado, Express, and Silverado. Some of their medium duty vehicles include the Kodiak C-Series, W-Series and T-Series.
Their Light Duty Vehicles can haul payloads up to 5,500 lbs. On select models, you'll get available features such as Allison transmission, Duramax Diesel V8 engine, driver's side 60/40 doors, side access panels and all-wheel-drive.
The medium duty Chevrolet trucks' versatility allows them to perform many jobs, and can be altered to meet a specific function. Some include converting them into flatbed and stackedbed trucks, and well as adding other equipment like booms and buckets.
